Current WBA bantamweight world champion Anselmo “Chemito” Moreno of Panama has intensified his training at Mexican trainer Ignacio “Nacho” Beristain’s famous La Romanza Gym in Mexico City.

Moreno will be unifying the WBA belt with interim champ Nehomar Cermeño on March 27 in La Guaira, Venezuela. “This is a fight of pride, honor and dignity but above all is for my family, my country and those who have helped me in boxing. It has been a lot of sacrifice up to now and I’ll gave my best that night,¨ says Moreno.

He is sparring with Mexican prospects Ray Vargas and Eduardo Escobedo among others. Moreno has his own team, but you can often hear input from Beristain, as well.
