WBA press. April 7. The Mexican Irma “Torbellino” García retained her World Boxing Association bantamweight championship before Janeth “Cuisilla” Pérez in Michoacán, in what meant her first defense.

“Torbellino” won in two judges cards 96-94 and 97-93, with one score against 94-96.

García won her seventh fight and the second against Perez. Perez record droped to 17-2-2.

Prensa AMB.- 07 de abril.- La mexicana Irma “Torbellino” García consiguió el triunfo ante Janeth “Cuisilla” Pérez en Michoacán, y retuvo por primera ocasión la faja gallo de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo.

La “Torbellino” se adjudicó la victoria con dos tarjetas a su favor 96-94 y 97-93, con una en contra 94-96.

García logró su séptima ganancia, segunda ante Pérez. Un empate y cuatro sin decisión. Pérez en cambio se quedó en 17 éxitos, con dos empates y dos derrotas.
