WBA # 5 Super Bantamweight world ranked Rafael Hernandez from Venezuela, is in the last stage of training for his upcoming fight next April 30, in Bangkok, Thailand, when he takes on former world champion and current WBA # 1 world ranked Poonsawat Kratingdaeng for the vacant WBA Interim Super Bantamweight title.

  Hernandez who lives and trains in Panama, moved his training camp along with WBA Super champion and stable mate Celestino “Pelenchin” Caballero to the mountains of Boquete, Panama, last Saturday both fighters made seven rounds of sparring under the close eye of trainer Jorge Zerpa who`s the man in charge of the preparation.

    “I want to thanks the WBA for this opportunity, I`m dedicated and concentrated for this fight 100%, I`ll travel to Bangkok to deliver a K.O. to Kratingdaeng” said Hernandez.

Hernandez grew up in the streets of El Macaro, Venezuela, participated last year at the 18th  Edition of the WBA Ko Drugs Festival, held in San Juan de los Morros, Venezuela, were he defeated Colombian Edison Garcia by unanimous decision.

On his last fight the Venezuelan stops Dany Diaz in the first round last February, at the Atlapa Convention Center in Panama City.
