WBA super flyweight champion Hugo Cazares (33-6-2, 23 KOs) retained his title by ninth round TKO over Alberto Rossel (24-8, 11 KOs) on Saturday night at the Centro de Convenciones de Tlalnepantla in Mexico City. Cazares dropped Rossel in round four and was in command all the way. Behind on the cards, Rossel came out with everything in the ninth, but was dropped again prompting the referee to stop the fight and declare Cazares the winner.
