WBA flyweight champ Denkaosan Kaovichit retained his title with a hard-fought twelve round split decision over Japanese contender WBA#12 Hiroyuki Hisataka, Tuesday night in Uttaradit, Tailand. It was Kaovivhit’s first title defense, since capturing the belt by beating Japanese former champ Takefumi Sakata, back on December 31 in Hiroshima. It was Hisataka’s second unsuccessful title challenge. Kaovichit advanced his record to 47-1-1 (20 KOs) and Hiroyuki Hisataka stays with 17-8-1 (6 KOs).
