Fonseca will join the WBA to bring a message of peace and union

The great Colombian singer Fonseca will join the World Boxing Association (WBA) during its 96th World Convention, to be held in Medellin, Colombia, from October 30th to November 2nd. The intention is to bring a message of peace and union to the world, showing the great values of this South American country.

Fonseca, who will be present at the convention’s opening ceremony, will pay tribute to his nation and, particularly, to Antonio Cervantes “Kid Pambelé”, the great star of Colombian boxing. Thus, the WBA, with the help of a great artist, proves once again that boxing transcends the ring.

For the WBA, it is an honor to be able to work hand in hand with artists like Fonseca, who has won the Latin Grammy Award 5 times. In 2011, after just 4 months, he won Quintuple Platinum Album and Diamond Album for the sales of his album “Iusión” in Colombia, that mixes multiple musical genres like vallenato, rock, pop and merengue. He also participated in the “Canta Conmigo” program, in which he gave musical training to former guerrillas for their social reintegration.

Without a doubt, Fonseca and the WBA will send a strong message that music and boxing are vehicles of improvement.
