Yazmín “La Rusita” Rivas scored her 38th professional victory while winning the World Boxing Association (WBA) World Female Super Bantamweight Title from Liliana “La Tigresa” Palmera via 5th round technical knockout.

The fight took place at Coliseo Miguel “Happy” Lora in Montería, Colombia, and was a good war from the opening bell until the finish.

Rivas was very aggressive and broke down the champion round by round until in the fifth round she scored a knockdown on Palmera from a solid right hand.  Palmera rose off the canvas but took more punishment until the referee stepped in and stopped the fight.

The victory moved Rivas’s record to 38-10-1 with 11KO’s, while Palmera fell to 28-13-3 with 16KO’s.  Palmera is typically entertaining to watch and this bout proved no different for the fans in attendance who saw a new champion crowned in thrilling fashion.

Maribel “Pantera” Ramirez scored her 12th professional victory while winning the World Boxing Association (WBA) World Female Super Flyweight Championship from “LLL” Linda Laura Lecca via majority decision.

The fight took place in Lima, Mexico.  Lecca came into the fight off a successful unanimous decision title defense over Karina Fernandez in August of 2017 while Ramirez came in as the challenger off a unanimous decision victory over Eloisa Martinez in June of 2017.

With the victory Ramirez improved her record to 12-9-2 with 3KO’s, while Linda Laura Lecca fell to 13-3-2 with 3KO’s.
