Antioquia University will host the World Boxing Association (WBA) Medical Seminar within Medellin Convention timeframe. On Thursday, November 1, this important activity will be carried out, and aims to improve in many aspects health and safety, but especially, anti-doping issues.

The focus on this issue is vital at this time, since the sport in general has been affected by several cases. For that reason, the main presentation will be led by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).

The fight against doping is one of the most important issues for the WBA, and therefore, we’ll talk about its consequences and the importance of rigorous samples collection before and after the fights.

Medical staff will also discuss safety and will seek new ways to be better in that regard. The event will start at 8 am and end at 1 pm.
