 WBA interim bantamweight champion Hugo “Cuatito” Ruiz (28-1, 25 KOs) won a hard fought twelve round unanimous decision over hometown hero Francisco “Panchito” Arce (31-7-3, 28 KOs) Polideportivo Centenario in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. Ruiz dropped Arce in round five and knocked him completely out of the ring in round eleven en route to a 114-109, 114-109, 112-111 verdict.
