Ogleidis La Nina Suarez declared Featherweight championThe Korean HyunMi Choi officially relinquished her Featherweight World Boxing Association title, and the Venezuelan interim Queen Ogleidis “La Niña” Suarez is declared the absolute champion.

Choi defended her 126 lbs. belt last Wednesday, when she defeated the North American Shannon O´Connell. Choi won by unanimous decision at the KBS Sports World.

For this reason, Suarez became the new featherweight champion vacating the N° 1 position of the ratings.

Oficialmente la coreana HyunMi Choi renunció a su título regular del peso pluma de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo, motivo por el cual la venezolana y reina interina Ogleidis “La Niña” Suárez pasa a ser considerada como campeona absoluta de la división.

Choi realizó su última presentación en la categoría de las 126 libras, el pasado miércoles, cuando derrotó en Seúl, a la estadounidense Shannon O´Connell. Choi se impuso por decisión unánime en la pelea que se realizó en el gimnasio KBS Sports World.

Ahora, Suárez se convierte en la nueva monarca pluma y queda vacante el puesto de primera retadora.
