Kono vs Solis sera el 6 de mayoNegotiations between managers of the super fly champion of the World Boxing Association, Kohei Kono and interim champion Liborio Solís Concluded. They will fight on 6 may 2013, to determine the regular champion of the 115 lbs.

Watanabe Promotions announced detailed and said the fight will take place in Gimnasio Ota Ward, in Tokyo.

Kono became champion on May 31, 2012 in front of Tepparith Kokietgym, whom he knocked out in 4 rounds.

On the other hand, Solís won the title on Sepetember 10, 2011 when he defeated Jose Salgado by split decision.

Kono has a record of 28 wins, 7 lost and 11 knockouts, and Solis has 13 wins with 3 loss, one draw and 7 KO’s.

The same night, the Japanese 130 lbs champion Takashi Uchiyama will fight the Venezuela Jaider Parra, tenth ratedcontender.

Uchiyama, 19-0, regular champion since November 1, 2010, defended his title last December 31st against the interim champion Bryan “Tiquito” Vasquez whom he knocked out in round eighth. Parra is undefeated in 20 fights.

Concluyeron las negociaciones entre los manejadores del campeón súper mosca de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo, Kohei Kono y el rey interino de la división Liborio Solís. Ambos se medirán el lunes 6 de mayo de 2013, en la pelea para definir el monarca absoluto de las 115 libras.

Wuatanabe Promotions anunció los detalles del acuerdo, y además aseguró que la pelea se realizará en el Gimnasio Ota Ward, en la ciudad de Tokio.

Kono viene de coronarse el pasado 31 de diciembre de 2012 en un pleito ante Tepparith Kokietgym, a quien le arrebató el cinturón con un nocaut en el cuarto round.

Por su parte, Solís se convirtió en mandatorio el 10 de diciembre de 2011, cuando se impuso por decisión dividida a José Salgado.

Kono tiene hasta el momento 28 ganadas, con 7 caídas y 11 nocauts propinados, y Solís suma 13 triunfos con tres derrotas, un empate y 7 KO.

En el mismo programa se realizará el careo entre el campeón de las 130 libras, el nipón Takashi Uchiyama ante el también venezolano Jaider Parra, ubicado décimo en el ranking.

Uchiyama, con 19-0, es dueño de la faja regular desde el 1 de noviembre del año 2010, y su anterior defensa fue la que sostuvo el 31 de diciembre de 2012 frente al interino Bryan “Tiquito” Vásquez a quien fulminó en el octavo asalto del duelo en Tokio. Parra marcha invicto con 20 triunfos.
