Gilberto Jesús Mendoza has an exceptional commitment to boxing in all areas. For this reason, his visit to Buenos Aires could not be carried out without meeting with the national team of the South American country.

Although the president of the World Boxing Association (WBA) has a busy agenda, one of his priorities was to share his experience with young fighters who are the present and the future of Argentine and world boxing. At the Sports High-Performance Center (CENARD), Mendoza visited the boxers during their workout, shared his experiences and talked about the importance of Argentine boxing for the WBA and the boxing world.

Former WBA champion and Argentine boxing legend, Mariano Carrera, as well as champion Yessica ” La Tuti” Bopp, also accompanied the president and shared their experiences.

Mendoza was very pleased with the work progress in Argentina and had the opportunity to exhibit several WBA projects for boxing, like the WBA Academy.

Gilberto Jesús highlighted the WBA’s commitment, as well as his own, to improve boxing. He also met the press that was present.

Mendoza’s agenda will continue this week in Argentina with a meeting with the press on Thursday, a visit to ESPN Sportscenter on Friday, and his participation in the ESPN Knock Out broadcast on Saturday night.
