The WBA World Championships Committee is pleased to announce that it is accepting Purse Bids for the World Title Fight between interim WBA World lightweight champion Derry Mathews (38-9-2, 20 KOs), from Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom, and #2 ranked Ismael Barroso (18-0-2, 17 KOs), from El Tigre, Venezuela.

The bidding will take place on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at 11:00 am at the World Boxing Association office located at Avenida Aquilino de la Guardia c/c Calle 47, PH Ocean Plaza, Office 14-05, Marbella, Panama, Panama.

The minimum amount for the Purse Bid is $125,000 US, with 75% going to the champion (Mathews) and 25% going to the challenger (Barroso).

The Bidding will be directed by WBA Vice President Gilberto Jesus Mendoza.
