Former World Champion and WBA current #10 from Panama Jezreel ”Invisible” Corrales declared himself ready to accomplish the feat against American young prospect Chris Colbert, and becoming 2-time World Champion if he takes over the Interim WBA Junior Lightweight belt which it will be at stake in the Liacouras Center, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

If the so called “Invisible” pulls up the upset, he will be recognized as 2-time World Champion, his first championship came in December 17, 2015 when he beat Mexico´s Juan Rodriguez, belt that he would consolidate after beating Takashi Uchiyama twice, becoming the new Super World Champion.

For Corrales the Belts is not only what it is at stake, he will also have the assignment to finish with Panama´s 2 year World Champions drought, Corrales became the 30th World Champion hailing from Panamanian soil, and up to day it hasn’t arrived #31.

Regarding the pressure of becoming World Champion again and fighting in The United States, Corrales mentioned: “I feel relaxed and positive, it is my fourth fight in USA, so I basically feel like home. The weather is nice and It has allowed us to work, but we have taken precautionary measurements so we don´t get any cold”, Explained.

“We know my opponent is difficult, but when you want to be great, you have to fight the best ones out there, and that’s the reason we are here. I don’t feel any pressure to take the belt home because I’ve always fought under pressure” assured the Panamanian.

It’s already known that Corrales doesn´t have an easy task ahead, Chris Colbert is one of the hottest raising stars in American boxing, nicknamed “Prime Time”, he registered a record of 103 wins and 3 losses as an amateur with a 38.46% Knockout ratio, power that he has shown recently Knocking out 2 in his last 5 fights.

Despite the boxing rivalry between Corrales and Colbert, they have a common denominator, Al Haymon, one of the most powerful men in boxing worldwide.

The first encounter between Corrales and Colbert is scheduled tomorrow at 12:30 (Philadelphia and Panama time), the face off will take place at the Liacouras Center Arena Lobby, where is expected an attendance of 10 000 fans next Saturday for the event that will be broadcast by FOX Sports un USA and RPC Channel 4 in Panama.
